A bit of admin:
Subscribers will receive a daily email with each artwork, but if you’d just like a summary once a week, click here to manage your subscription. You’ll want to toggle on “MFAH 100” or “Weekly MFAH 100 Summary,” as you prefer (see below). If you don’t want MFAH 100 emails at all, just turn both off. I’m hoping I’ve done this right(?), so if you have any trouble please feel free to send me a message!
Thanks for reading!

Hi Rainey: Do you know about the writer storyteller Rebecca Kalin? Her recent book of memoirs and mini-essays "Your Life in 100 Words" is a wonderful companion to your book MFAH 100.
By the way, MFAH should be celebrating another centennial. On January 10, 1926, the museum became practical and functional when the side wings were opened to the public. On opening day, there was a monumental exhibition of contemporary art from New York's Grand Central Art Galleries, a consortium of American artists exhibiting works by artists such as John Singer Sargent. "That ended the building phase" explained director James Chillman, Jr. as the museum turned its attention to growing the permanent collection. The next addition would not come for nearly 30 years.
Fun!
